Atchison Senior Village is owned and operated by the citizens of Atchison County through the Atchison County Commission.  It is one of the few remaining County operated nursing facilities in Kansas.  Atchison County cares about its citizens and has continually updated Atchison Senior Village to give it a beautiful home-like atmosphere.  From the moment you walk through the door, you'll feel the difference.  This truly feels like "home" and not a nursing home.

Several  community rooms have been designed to accommodate family gatherings, church events and organized activities.  A large living room with a fireplace and tastefully decorated furnishings is a favorite among our residents.  Our chapel is perfect for groups or a sanctuary for individual residents or family members.  Our community kitchen area is used daily by our residents and is often a focal point for organized and family get-togethers.

The residents at Atchison Senior Village enjoy a wide variety of activities planned with their interests in mind.  Residents can choose from social activities, exercise, creative activities, games, cards, religious programs, entertainment and much more. Our own bus provides transportation for scheduled outings such as shopping trips to local stores, museum visits, trips to the casino and scenic drives.


Our outdoor spaces offer opportunities for our gardners, a play structure for visiting grandchildren, a bird watching haven to be seen from indoors and out, and an area to simply enjoy the outdoors under a shaded gazebo.

Senior Village is a state inspected, Medicaid approved, nursing community owned and operated by the citizens of Atchison through the Atchison County Commission. The highly qualified staff at Atchison Senior Village is its greatest strength and several members have been with the community for many years. 

 

 

Supporting the staff of Atchison Senior Village are professional licensed consultants in the areas of Activities, Physical therapy, Dietetics, Pharmacy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy.
