Atchison County is seeking letters of interest from those interested in serving on the Corrections Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB is responsible for overseeing the community corrections grant as it applies to adult offenders living in the community. The CAB is made up of citizens of Atchison County or who work full-time in Atchison County. Atchison County Community Corrections is located at 729 Kansas Avenue. CAB meets quarterly, or as needed, and meetings are primarily held the last Wednesday of each month at ACCC. Atchison County citizens/employees who are committed to ensuring the safety of the public and rehabilitation of adult offenders, are encouraged to submit a letter of interest.
Those interested in serving should send a letter of interest to Michelle Phillips, Atchison County Clerk, 423 North 5th Street, Atchison, Kansas 66002. Letters will be accepted by mail, email to mphillips@atcoks.org, or by depositing in the drop box located outside the north doors of the courthouse. Please include your contact information for validation of receipt. You should receive notification within 24 hours, if not, please reach out to the Clerk’s Office.
Deadline for submission of the letters of interest will be Friday, March 3, 2023, at 5:00 pm. The Commission will consider the letters at the meeting set for March 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the County Commission Room in the basement of the Courthouse.
